Sber’s School 21 in Perm

Ekaterina Shikina visited Sber’s School 21 in Perm.
There are no teachers at this school. None.

There are mentors who help participants stay motivated, while learning happens peer to peer. Participants work in teams, explore complex topics together, explain concepts to one another and find solutions independently. This peer-to-peer approach is the foundation of the learning model.

It makes you wonder: what will education look like in 10–15 years?

The future is about more than passing on knowledge. It is about learning how to learn, working in a team, finding information, thinking critically and adapting quickly to change.

Special thanks to Anna Svetlakova, the school’s director, for her time, open conversation and a look inside the system. It was particularly touching to hear that, despite her new role, she warmly remembers the students she taught strategic management at HSE, where Ekaterina Shikina studied.
Meetings like these make us think about tomorrow’s education.
