The 26th Russian agricultural exhibition Golden Autumn 2024 took place in Moscow on 9–12 October. Ekaterina Viktorovna Shikina was invited as a guest and speaker at this major agricultural event. Golden Autumn is a leading platform for showcasing the sector’s achievements and discussing its development.
The exhibition was a success for us: an unforgettable event full of inspiration, learning and new connections. Here are our highlights.
We met First Deputy Agriculture Minister Elena Fastova to discuss the Women in Agriculture competition. Ekaterina Shikina won the competition the previous year and shared how the award had changed the project. City Farmer created eight agricultural classrooms in Perm Krai and opened another AGROspace, enabling networked cooperation with colleges and universities.
In a meeting with Dmitry Pekurovsky, we discussed exporting our educational project to North Korea.
Ekaterina Shikina also received a personal invitation from Dagestan State Agrarian University rector Zaydin Dzhambulatov to a forum in Makhachkala on developing agricultural classrooms in the Caucasus — an opportunity to exchange experience and ideas.
We are proud of City Farmer’s federal recognition as a comprehensive model for agricultural education. Ekaterina Viktorovna Shikina invited Deputy Agriculture Ministers Elena Vladimirovna Fastova and Ksenia Leonidovna Shevyolkina, along with leading agricultural university rectors, to Perm to see the project in practice.
